Completed Controlled Assessment models

Jon Bentley- Inspired by 'Tron'. This design has been laser cut in 2 acrylic colours and placed on a beechwood base.  The acrylics are finger-jointed for flat-pack assembly.

Jack Forster- Inspired by a jellyfish. This design has partly been created on the laser cutter creating the main body. The stand in pine, has been manufactured on the woodworking lathe and the base in oak has been manufactured on the engineering lathe.

Nathan Walton- Inspired by 'flat pack'  This design can be dissassembled completely and stored in a small box. The concept has been wholly laser cut in plywood and finished in black paint. It has inter-changable inserts (purple in photo, red also available) to suit the customers home decor.
I feel very confident this year that we will be successful in achieving a good percentage of A-C grades.  With 3 weeks left to go 3 pupils have finished their coursework models. and I think they look great. All work, all look professional and all have the potential to be manufactured to industry standards. I will posts more as and when they are completed.
